Christian Carrignon begins with his childhood in the Paris suburbs, among the plastic profusion of the post-war consumer society and how he came to make object theatre with Théâtre de Cuisine. In alternating chapters, Jean-Luc Mattéoli discusses the history of object theatre and its relation to wider art movements.
